New Jersey & Hudson River from Riverside Drive Viaduct

As you can see, the Hudson River is quite wide where we are, and offers a number of boating opportunities. The nearest to us are at the 79th St. Boat Basin off of Riverside Drive, about 1.5 miles south of us. In the lower picture, at frame right you can see the George Washington Bridge, a garbage-transfer pier of the Sanitation Dept., and the top of one of the industrial buildings in the factory neighborhood (now mainly deserted) that borders us to the north.
