About Morningside-Heights.net

This web site is dedicated to providing news and information about the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. It is maintained by the West 112th St. Block Association under the care of Barbara Hohol and Jack Arbo. Its progenitor, created by board member Ian Fletcher, went on-line in 1996 as the web site of the now-defunct Morningside Heights Residents Association. After MHRA chairman Bob Roistacher ordered it shut down in a fit of pique in 2000, it was reborn with the same content as an independent community-information site. Ian turned it over to Jack and Barbara in 2003. All material is copyright Morningside-heights.net.
